Explorers: 14-18 years

Our Explorer Scout Unit (Stafford ESU), meet every other Thursday, between 19:30 – 21:30 (term times only).

Jump in and get muddy. Give back and get set. Scouts ignore the butterflies and go for it, and soon so will you.

Explorers are a go-getting group of young people aged 14 to 18 who:

  • Master new skills and try new things
  • Make new friends
  • Have fun and go on adventures, at home and abroad
  • Explore the world around them
  • Help others and make a difference, in their own communities and beyond
  • Option to complete their Duke of Edinburgh award during their time at the Unit

Our Unit is named after an English Explorer, Ed Stafford, who holds the Guinness World Record for being the first human ever to walk the length of the Amazon River!

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
